Merit Scholar Award
PURPOSE
The Merit Scholar Award is intended to recognize individual members as well as advisors for their knowledge of Business Professionals of America as well as motivate all members to learn everything they can about the history, traditions, programs, and activities of the BPA organization.
GENRAL INFORMATION
The Merit Scholar Award is part of the BPA Cares program; it is NOT a part of the competitive events program.
This category is given as an objective test with multiple choice and true/false questions.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to be considered for the award a member or advisor must:
- Remain in good standing with the Business Professionals of America
- Achieve a minimum of 90% on an objective test (multiple choice and true/false questions)
- Attend the National Leadership Conference
APPLICATION GUIDE
This award does not require an application, it is given by the National Center to individuals that meet the above criteria.
RECOGNITION
Participants achieving 90% or more on the Open Exam offered at the National Leadership Conference will receive a BPA Merit Scholar pin during the Awards Session at the National Leadership Conference.
